Kidnapped Oyo local Government boss has been freed.
CityNews Nigeria reports that kidnappers have now released the caretaker chairman of Iganna Local Council Development Area of Oyo State, Mr Olayiwola Adeleke.
We gathered Adeleke was freed with his driver who was also kidnapped.
Whilst confirming the release to The Punch on Saturday, the Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi said, “They have been released and they have reunited with their families. They were freed on Friday night.”
Recall that Oyo State Commissioner of Police , Mr Chucks Enwonwu, had on Wednesday said the police were making efforts to rescue the duo after they were abducted on Sunday whilst travelling to Ibadan for a scheduled meeting with Governor Seyi Makinde.
